Airplanes, taxi’s, buses, cars and train can be used to travel from Glasgow airport. The airport is ideally situated about eight mile from the city center making it an easy and accessible for travel. You should contact the airport if you are unsure of your travel options or simply desire more information.

The closest railway station is at Paisley’s Gilmour street about two miles from the terminal. There is a regular bus service that connects the station to the airport as well as taxi. From this station you can get direct service to Glasgow central, Ayr and Clyde coast destinations. There are approximately eight trains per hour during the working week.

Glasgow has over 450 taxi companies that travel to and from the airport. Travel by taxi is hassle free and convenient. Many companies have special rates for the airport. Information on taxi services can be found online along with a description of all of there services and areas of travel.

There are also public buses that stop at the terminal. Charter buses make stops at the coach park adjacent to the international arrivals gate. The Citylink and Fairline buses can take you to various locations throughout Glasgow, including the bus and railway stations. Fare is around six pounds for a return ticket. It should take about 25 minutes to get from the airport to the city centre.

If you would like to travel by car, Glasgow airport has short stay and long term parking as well as car hire. Feel free to leave your car while you travel or if you are visiting Glasgow hire a car to travel around. Additionally there are drop off and pick up locations that make it easy for family or a friend to drop you or pick you up after your travel. You can easily set up transportation from Glasgow airport to make your travel experience a relaxing and enjoyable occasion, from start to finish.
