by Mary Bush

In the year of 2007 an estimated of 2.25 billion passengers traveled by airline flights all over the world. The year 2007 was considered as a best for the global aviation industry since year 2000. It was observed a significant gain by both passenger and cargo airlines in the year of 2007. However increasing jet fuel costs decreased the growth of cargo airlines.

It is estimated that the air passenger traffic for year 2008 would be 4,665 billion RPKs (Revenue Passenger Kilometers) worldwide and which is projected to cross 5,603 billion RPKs by 2012.The US stands at number one position in the view of largest market for passenger traffic with an estimated figure of 1,111 billion RPKs for 2008. Asia pacific is going to be fastest growing region in the world with a growth rate of 7.2% through the period 2001-2010.

In the recent four years the world airline industry had suffered major losses. There might be many different reasons for these losses. The various new airlines have been launched which created a competitive atmosphere in the aviation industry of the world. This competition brought a good thing for the passengers in terms of facilities and the air fares. The air passenger had to spend a few money to enjoy their journey as compare to the previous. Tips For a Good Air Travel Planning

by katie George

If you have ever traveled by air you would know that how tough it is to be in good state after the flight and that is especially if you have long haul flight you better be prepared for some harsh realities.

With that said, I would always vouch for the fact that it is better to be prepared than be sorry. There are a few things that you should keep in mind while traveling by air.

Airports nowadays are a mess with additional security measures and checks. So make sure that your reach the airport well in time and that means at least three hours before the international flight departure or at least two hours before if you are taking a domestic flight.

Then if you are carrying a laptop make sure that it is out of the carry on bag as it has to be separately scanned through the security camera. Also make sure that you have no knife or anything pointed in the carry on luggage.

Then comes the seat assignment nowadays all the airlines offer the online check in at least 24 hours before the flight. Take advantage of this facility as this will help you get the best of the best of the seats and you can have the journey in comfort. If you have an infant then make sure that you request for bulkhead seats in advance and also have the bassinet request put in. These are usually done on first come first served basis.

General Tips For Tourists In Germany

by katie George

Germany has emerged as one of the premier countries in which to vacation in Europe in recent years. Germany has a uniquely diverse landscape for a European, containing mountainous regions contrasted with sandy beaches and large, natural untouched forests. Germany’s beautiful landscape and it’s abundance of amazing destinations add to its appeal. The Germans, themselves, are very hospitable and welcoming to visitors to their country, showing that they are proud of their land and the progress they have made in becoming a world player in economics, culture, and tourism.

For some visitors, Germany may be their first exposure to Europe and its small, but apparent differences in their culture. Here are some tips for traveling to and staying in Germany:

Germany has adopted the Euro for its currency for the ease of trade across its borders. Virtually every financial institution around the world will be able to accommodate currency exchanges, current exchange rates, and will be able to determine if your credit cards and debit cards will be accepted in most places. Credit cards are typically not accepted quite as much as in other countries, particularly the U.S. so planning ahead is a good idea.

One of the first things travelers will notice when settling into a hotel room in Germany is the different style of electrical outlet. Compared to, say American 110 Volts, Germans much higher 220 Volt outlets put out much more power. There are adapters available, but you would be much better served by bringing along a voltage regulator with an interchangeable adaptor. The extra voltage being sent to your electrical device without regulation can cause major malfunctions. This is particularly true of relatively fragile electronics such as laptops.
